DSS No. 59 - Layne Staleyby ~gothicathedral

Dead Superstar series is not over yet, and so am I. This drawing has been gaining dusts in my drawing book. I can't explain how but I find it sooo hard to post in my gallery. Layne Staley or the 'Man In The Box' was the lead singer of the band Alice In Chains from Seattle, one of the important bands that shaped the grunge movement during the early 1990's.

Throughout his career, he struggled over his chemical addiction. The man that styled the snarl-to-a-scream vocals was discovered dead on a sofa in his apartment next to his flickering tv set after about two weeks he presumably died.

Happy 44th birthday Layne, r.i.p.

Done in brush, ink and speedball (not that, but the famous brand for lettering set.)
